Millions of genderqueer people speak languages with gendered words, like "un doctor" in Spanish or "l'actrice" in French, excluding them from written language. To change this, we introduced "æ," allowing anyone, including gender non-conforming individuals, to be represented in writing.

In partnership with Google, we made "æ" available in Search and Apps and created a custom keyboard. We shared the stories of genderqueer communities through a Posterzine® registered with the British Library, T-shirts, and social posts. All profits support Divergenres, an organization for binary and non-binary trans people in Quebec.
